Which tours work this way?
Some guides take payment directly instead of through Touri.
You'll know before you offer — it says so on the listing and on the offer page.
What's different
Very little. You browse, make offers, and negotiate exactly like any other tour. Just two things to know:
You'll pay in the guide's currency. Before you offer, we show you roughly what that is in yours.
And once you've agreed a price, everything else happens off Touri: payment, cancellations, and any changes are arranged directly with the guide on WhatsApp. That also means we can't do much to help with refunds or disputes — those are between you and the guide.
After you agree on a price
Once you and the guide agree, there's nothing more to do on Touri. Your confirmation lands right away, with your booking code and the guide's WhatsApp number.
One thing left to do: message the guide on WhatsApp with your booking code to arrange payment and lock in your spot.
Paying the guide
Include your booking code so the guide knows which booking is yours.
How and when you pay is between you and the guide — often cash on the day. Until it's arranged, the guide may give your spot to someone else.
Before you send money
Always start from the WhatsApp button on your booking.
Check the tour details and amount match what you agreed on Touri, and don't pay extras you didn't agree to.
Sometimes you'll pay in person on the day, and sometimes guides will ask you to pay upfront. Either's fine, but be wary of anyone rushing you to send money upfront, or asking for gift cards, crypto, or odd payment links. Always double-check details before sending any money. Money you send directly is like handing over cash — we can't pull it back.
Cancellations and changes
There's no cancel button on these bookings. To cancel or change anything, message the guide on WhatsApp.
If you've already paid, any refund comes from the guide — Touri never held the money.
If something goes wrong
If the guide doesn't show up, delivers something very different from the listing, or lets you down, tell us at support@gotouri.com within 24 hours — same as any tour. We can't refund what we never held, but we want to know.
Safety issues are always a priority — contact us immediately, on any booking.
Good to know
- These tours are offer-only — you won't see a Buy now option.
- Need a receipt? Ask the guide — we can confirm your booking, but the payment record is theirs.
- Keep your booking code handy — the guide can ask for it before the tour starts.
- On any other tour, never pay a guide directly — if a guide asks you to pay outside Touri, don't.
