Puebla's Cantinas

Puebla's much more than Talavera pottery and mole. It's also a city with legendary cantinas, where every drink tells a story, the atmosphere is authentic, and people drink the way they used to - with conversation, laughter and great company.

This tour takes you to four iconic cantinas, each featuring a traditional drink and a unique character that embodies the true flavor of Puebla.

Visit four iconic bars, each with its own story, atmosphere, and signature drink—from the unique Lomo de Rana at La Mina de Plata to the famous Pasita served with goat cheese, the traditional Menyul at La Ópera, and Puebla-style Sangria at La Terminal.

Along the way, hear the stories, characters, and traditions behind Puebla's cantina culture, all brought to life by an expert local host. A fun, flavorful way to experience the city like a local.

For groups of 9 or more, we finish the tour with a callejoneada accompanied by an estudiantina - walking through the city's streets to the Mercado de Artesanías accompanied by a traditional music group.

We recommend starting the tour earlier on Sundays (at 3 or 4pm) as most cantinas close earlier. Please let us know when booking if you have any special requests or needs.
