Description

The experience begins early in the morning with transportation to La Malinche National Park. From the IMSS Mountain Refuge, located at 3,100 meters above sea level, the hike begins through conifer forests, allowing gradual acclimatization. The ascent continues toward Los Arenales, one of the most demanding sections of the route, where the slope increases and the landscape becomes fully alpine. From this point, hikers continue toward the summit of La Malinche, reaching 4,461 meters above sea level. At the summit, weather permitting, participants enjoy spectacular views of the main volcanoes of central Mexico. After a short break, the descent begins along the same route back to the starting point and then the return to Puebla. An intense, challenging, and deeply rewarding mountain experience.
